Notes for Contributors
The JBSP is an internationally refereed journal. All submissions are sent to two referees for blind peer-reviewing. JBSP publishes papers on phenomenology and existential philosophy as well as contributions from other fields of philosophy. Papers from workers in the humanities and the human sciences interested in the philosophy of their subject will be welcome too. Space will be given to research in progress, to book reviews, and to bibliographies of use to students. The Journal will also provide a forum for interdiscipilinary discussion. Intending contributors are asked to submit papers and correspondence for inclusion in the Journal to:

Preparation of Manuscipts
Articles should normally be about 8,000 words in length with footnotes kept to a reasonable
limit at about 10%. Book reviews should not exceed 1,000 words. Manuscripts should be typewritten, on one side of each sheet only, double-spaced and with a wide margin. The titles of quoted journal papers should be put in inverted commas, whilst titles of quoted journals and books should be set in italics. Journal papers should be quoted as follows: name(s) and initial(s) of author(s), full title of paper, journal abbreviation, volume and year, page numbers.
Books should be quoted by name(s) and initial(s) of author(s), title, edition, place: publisher and year. Consequent references should be indicated by normal procedures, by title of the work or by acronym in the text(introduced in the first note). References to the text will be numbered consequtively, be give in endnotes, and should be kept within reasonable limits. Any words in languages other than English will be printed in italics.
Long quotations are inset and printed in small type without quotation marks. Diagrams and illustrations should be on separate sheets. As all essays are subject to blind peer review, please delete all personal information from the file (including the properties page) and send these on a separate file and/or cover letter.
One copy of the manuscript should be sent together with a 250 word summary of it and an electronic copy on disk or CD. the latter should be in a MS Word readable format. Submission by email attachment is encouraged (without a printed copy). Please send to
